The iPhone 14 is made of Glass front (Gorilla Glass), glass back (Gorilla Glass), and an aluminum frame. It weighs 172g and measures 146.7 x 71.5 x 7.8 mm (dimensions). The iPhone 14 delivers awesome views through a large 6.1-inch display, with a 60Hz refresh rate. It has a resolution of 1170 x 2532 pixels, and a 19.5:9 ratio (~460 ppi density). The display is made of Super Retina XDR OLED, HDR10, and Dolby Vision, with 800 nits (HBM), and 1200 nits (peak).
Not only is the display bright enough, but excellent and large for work and media consumption. The protection is made of Scratch-resistant ceramic glass, and oleophobic coating making it tamper-proof. iPhone 14 also features the durable Ceramic Shield front cover exclusive to iPhone and tougher than any other smartphone glass-protecting the screen from common spills and accidents with water and dust resistance.
Performance
The handset runs on iOS 16. A15 brings incredible performance to iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus. The Li-ion non-removable battery on the iPhone 14 supports up to 100 hours of music playback, and 26 hours of playback time. The device supports fast charging (0-50% in 30 min). alternative charging is through USB Power Delivery 2.0, MagSafe wireless charging 15W and Qi magnetic fast wireless charging 7.5W.
Camera
Capture high-quality selfies and communicate effectively through video chats via the dual-camera 12 MP, f/1.9, 23mm (wide), 1/3.6″, PDAF (TrueDepth) lens, with SL 3D, (depth/biometrics sensor). The front camera features a Retina Flash, HDR, and Cinematic mode (4K@30fps). The front camera is capable of taking 4K@24 / 25 / 30 / 60fps, and 1080p@25 / 30 / 60 / 120fps, gyro-EIS videos. At the rear, a dual camera set-up is available, ready for your exploration and exploitation on the iPhone 14.
It consists of a 12 MP, f/1.5, 26mm (wide), 1.9µm, dual pixel PDAF, sensor-shift OIS lens, that work along with a 12 MP, f/2.4, 13mm, 120˚ (ultrawide). - Cinematic mode is now available in 4K at 30 fps and 4K at 24 fps.
- End-to-end Dolby Vision HDR, available only on iPhone.
Connectivity
iPhone 14 is 5G, enabled, and supports 2G, 3G, 4G, AND 5G Bands. Network connectivity is through both Nano-SIM and eSIM options. You can pair the handset with your devices via Bluetooth (it has 5.3, A2DP, and LE Bluetooth specifications). You can also connect the device via Wi-Fi and use it as a hotspot to share the internet with other devices. The USB lighting port enables OTG transfer of data as well as fast charging.
